Each year the Shields trophy is awarded to a Choir Member in recognition of their outstanding service.

Bertie Shields was President of the Choir in 1981/82 and remained a lifelong supporter, including being responsible for finding our very talented accompanist Steven Bell, who has been with us for 25 years! The trophy was presented to the Choir by the Shields family.

First awarded in 2003, it went to Everett Browne, the then Choir Secretary. Most recently the trophy was awarded to our Chairman, Donald Keys, for the 2nd year running.
